HOW TO USE OUR PRODUCTS

Loose Mineral Foundation

STEP 1 – PREP YOUR SKIN

Any type of makeup goes on better when skin is freshly cleansed and moisturized. Allow moisturizer to absorb completely, and if you have oily skin, use a foundation primer.

STEP 2 – BRUSH ON

Use a good quality kabuki brush, it is shorter and denser than a regular brush & gives more coverage. Tap a small amount of powder into the lid of the sifter jar. Dip brush into powder foundation, tap off excess. Start off using very little, as it is highly pigmented. Holding your kabuki with brush facing upwards, gently tap the handle on a hard surface. This will settle the foundation inside the brush head. Using fairly firm pressure & continuous circular motions to buff the powder on your face. Repeat until you’ve achieved the coverage you want. Buff to a smooth, even finish.

STEP 3 – GO FOR THE FINISH

Finishing powder extends the life of any foundation, while giving you the finish that you desire.
Simply dust on & you are ready to go!

TYPES OF FINISHES:

MATTE – No shine or shimmer

SEMI-MATTE – Slight sheen almost matte – no shimmer or sparkles

SHEEN – A healthy glow with no shimmer or sparkles

LLUMINATING – Glow with micro fine sparkles

Can be applied wet or dry. Use a sponge applicator or a shadow brush & lightly touch the mica (dust off any excess mica) and apply to your eye lids. For a more dramatic look wet the applicator or brush with water before applying.

For contouring your eyes:

Start with a lighter shade of shadow on the entire lid. Follow with a darker shade applying it just under your brow bone starting at the outer corner inward.

Eyeliner:

Can be applied wet or dry. Use a darker shade in the outer corner and follow along the top and bottom lash line with a thin line of color.

Brows:

Apply color to your eyebrows using short wispy strokes from the inside of the eye outward.

Cheeks:

Use a sponge applicator or a blush brush and lightly touch the mica (dust off any excess mica). Apply to your cheeks for a beautiful glow.

Lips:

Use your favorite clear gloss, pick out your mica color and apply it on your glossed lips. You can also mix the mica with the gloss and then apply. *Disclaimer: All of our loose mineral products are FDA approved for cosmetic use, however some are not for lip use. Shades that contain Ultramarines, Ferric Ferrocyanide & Chromium Oxide Green are not for lip use.

Nail Polish:

Using clear nail polish, dip brush into the polish, then into the desired mica color, and paint on nails. Add a clear top coat for the perfect shine! Polish may also be mixed in a separate container for larger batches. Add mica color to any existing colored nail polish to change its shade. Be creative! Have fun!

Hair Highlights or Lowlights:

Mix with your favorite hair gel or hair spray. Use a blending brush, dip it in your mica color and start at the root and stroke all the way to the ends.

Aloe Vera Body Glitter:

Mix your favorite glittery mica color with pure, clear aloe vera gel (very inexpensive & can be found in most Dept. stores). Safe to use on your face, body and also can be used as a hair glitter.

Body Shimmer:

Using a blush brush, dip into the desired color and spread a light coating of powder over the shoulders and chest for a beautiful shimmery glow.

Tinted Moisturizer:

Choose your mica color and lightly mix with your favorite daily facial moisturizer. It will give you a hint of color and even out your skin tone. This is perfect for a quick fix! Petroleum based moisturizers are not recommended for use in tinted moisturizer.
